76th IETF – Hiroshima, November 2009 Updates from the last version Has been adopted as a WG document since September 2009 Added a new co-author, Takehiro Tsuritani (KDDI) replacing Tomohiro Otani (KDDI) This draft only addresses PCEP Requirements to support RWA in WSON.
76th IETF – Hiroshima, November 2009 A new RWA path request The PCReq Message MUST include the path computation type: RWA The PCRep Message MUST include the route, wavelengths assigned to the route, or failure indicator and the reasons of failure PCC PCE Combined R+WA
76th IETF – Hiroshima, November 2009 An RWA path re-optimization request The PCReq Message MUST include: Re-optimize the path keeping the same wavelength(s) Re-optimize wavelength(s) keeping the same path Re-optimize allowing both wavelength and the path to change The corresponding PCRep Message for the re- optimized request MUST provide the Re-optimized path and wavelengths or failure indicator and the reasons of failure PCC PCE Combined R+WA
76th IETF – Hiroshima, November 2009 Wavelength Range/Policy Constraint For any PCReq Message that is associated with a request for wavelength assignment the requester (PCC) MUST be able to specify a restriction on the wavelengths to be used. (New) May include specific operators policy information for WA (E.g., random assignment, descending order, ascending order, etc.) PCC PCE Combined R+WA
