Sloan Foundation December 2011: Approved by NISO Voting Members February 2012: Core team first meeting March 2012-May 2012: Verification of use cases; specification of requirements; experimentation/quantitative evaluation of candidate technologies April 2012: Project Update at CNI Spring meeting, Baltimore June 2012: In-person meeting planned following JCDL, June July 2012: Alpha draft of specification; early tools, libraries and other implementation demonstrations July 2012: Planned Update at Open Repositories, Edinburgh September 2012: Beta draft of specification; public draft standard for trial use; release of demonstrators and review November 2012: Respond to public commentary, begin finalizing specifications January 2013: Specifications stable; tools and libraries released February 2013: Approval by NISO Discovery to Delivery Topic Committee, Release to NISO members for balloting and member input 3
