General Description  Solar panels create electricity when the sun hits the panels. The photovoltaic cells get exited and they move freely around. This movement creates electricity.

How do solar plants create electricity?  They use huge mirrors causing a lot of heat to be generated. The heat is directed toward pipes with oil. The oil is used to heat water to create steam. The steam turns turbines. The turbines one or many generators, creating electricity.

Solar Advantages.  No pollution.  Creates electricity, and lowers or gets rid of monthly electric bill.  Safe, and clean.  Can also make money if power plant buys back excess electricity.

Solar Disadvantages  Some disadvantages are:  Solar panels are expensive.  Solar power does not work at night.

More Information  Solar energy is best conjured in the southern and Midwestern states such as: Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Kansas, California etc. The weather in these states are sunny most or all of the time.

Prices and Convenience  The benefits of having solar panels on teh house is, it could eliminate your monthly bill. It would approximately cost 25, ,000 dollars to add solar energy to your entire house.  The power company has to buy the left over electricity. It would take up to 12 years to get it, but its another source of income.
