Class :- I – B

Topic:- How to improve Hand writing

Students of class I are generally facing problems in writing. As there is a big jump from Prep to I. In Prep they were writing within four lines. They find difficulty in writing within two lines. Letter formation with correct alignment is a challenge.

Baseline Data :- I found that students were not able to write properly with in two lines. Letter formations are incorrect. Specially the head and tail letters are not written correctly. Handwriting was not so impressive.

1. Handwriting week 2. Daily handwriting practice during handwriting week. 3. Fine motor skill gives grip to fingers. 4. Letter tracing and curves according to the correct letter formation. 5. Correct body posture for good handwriting.

Fine motor activity creates interest and finger grip for writing.

Letter curves and writing practice

Evaluation It has been observed that after hand writing week most of the students have started writing correctly. Letter formation is more correct. Writing speed and interest has been developed.

Follow up:- Fine motor activities should be done in every intervals. More and more motivation for good handwriting. Drawing and Labeling also encourages writing.

Acknowledgement I would like to express my gratitude to Ms. Nandita Pandey and Ms. P. Vamshi Krishna for their valuable support and guideline in undertaking this research.
