The Second General Tour of Galilee (Lk. 8:1-3) Jesus preaches and performs signs around the Sea of Galilee and Capernaum.

Acts of Jesus in Galilee (2nd tour) Heals the blind and dumb man possessed of a demon (Matt. 12:22-24). Travels to the Sea of Galilee from Capernaum and preaches parables from a boat (Matt. 13:1-3) Parable of the Sower (Matt. 13:3-23) Parable of Tares (Matt. 13:24-30) Parable of the Mustard seed (Matt. 13:31-32) Parable of the leaven (Matt. 13:33)

Jesus travels to Gerasenes (Lk. 8:26)

“The winds and waves obey His will” On the way to Gerasenes, the apostles run into bad weather while Jesus sleeps (Lk. 8:22-25). Jesus cast a Legion of demons out of a man (Lk. 8:26-39).

Back to the NW side of the Sea of Galilee Upon arrival, there were multitudes of people awaiting Jesus (Lk. 8:40-42). Jesus heals a woman with an “issue of blood” (Lk. 8:43-48). Jesus raises Jarius’ 12 year old daughter from the dead (Lk. 8:49-56).

Jesus makes His last visit to Nazareth Mark 6 gives us a list of Jesus brothers and sisters (6:1-6). Jesus “marvels because of their unbelief” (Mk. 6:6).

Conclusion: Jesus’ fame continues to grow With the fame comes hostility Jesus does not shrink back from openly condemning the scribes, Pharisees and hard hearted Jews. He has now openly pronounced His deity The cross grows closer as the Lord preaches, rebukes and performs miracles
