Singing and story telling at home My family were often enjoying singing and storytelling when I was young. So I really had a strong awareness of music.I have many sisters and when I think about it we were harmonising and creating music at home without really thinking about.

School experience I remember participating in many art activities such as origami, painting music lessons and I also took private recorder which moved on to clarinet lessons in primary school also recall some great drama lessons our very enthusiastic teacher I distinctly remember one on improvisation.

In grade six i remember watching the year nines from the high school performing a production it was a take of the wizard of oz. My friends and I also entered the talent quest that year and dazzled the audience with a dance to grease.

HIGH SCHOOL Music lessons middle years were great we were introduced to the guitar and drums, the year nine production came about production I was a dancer Year ten we learnt a lot about caricature and mime and had a lot of fun, year ten performance of pinafore pirates I was the great Mikado.

Year 11 and 12 drama performances 20 minute monologue, symbolism characters, pace, tension. Drama unit at uni

I play music with my mates this is a picture of them playing at my birthday. I really feel passionate about enjoying even though I don't feel I'm talented at it, Which is something I want children to feel comfortable doing just having a go and enjoying art in all forms.

Approaches to teaching art Now that we are studying this unit I feel much more confident and enthused about bringing art into my classroom and making children aware and celebrate art.
