Battery Park City They have their own little community By: Jake Krieger

Everyone comes to the Farmer’s Market Because it is an essential place to go for food and water

Here, you see the only museum in BPC until the World Trade Center opens then that will become the 9/11 museum.

These two pictures show the Esplanade, which is the most beautiful place in BPC. It is right next to the water. The First Sign on the Esplanade The View

Every place needs to have a pharmacy for your pharmacy needs like Hallmark cards and medicine.

This picture shows how we have the NYC parks association, they have the BPC Parks Conservancy.

In BPC, they also have amazing places to visit too. Statue of Liberty World Trade Center

Battery Park City I feel this essay will teach you a lot about Battery Park City because of the number of times I have been there. In BPC, you will get to see the most beautiful, calming place in all 5 boroughs. They also have anything you need except a hospital, police department, and fire department (they use the closest ones on the west side). The first picture shows the Farmers Market which was renamed last year the Battery Place Market. Out of all the super markets this is the busiest one because it is across the street from a lot of residential buildings and businesses right around there. The next page is about the Jewish Museum across the street from P.S It is about heritage and a remembrance of the Holocaust mostly. This place is very new but I think in every place there should be a museum to learn. On the 3 rd page it shows all about the Esplanade which makes BPC all worth the trip. The sign that is in the picture is the first sign on the Esplanade. When you walk down the Esplanade you can watch the boats or go on a boat, you can eat at the end or you can take a bike ride or a run. On the 4 th page it shows the Battery Park Pharmacy which is the oldest business in the BPC, even my dad remembers it from before I was born when he lived in BPC. It is like the toy store too in the neighborhood, so when I was little my mom would take me there all the time for toys.

On the 5 th page it shows the school that I would have gone to if I still lived there. I would just be graduating because their graduation is earlier than ours. I read reviews on it and talked to people downtown and they say it is a amazing school. On the 6 th page it shows the BPC Parks Conservancy, these people are the ones who keep the Esplanade clean and Battery Park clean. These people work so hard to keep things clean. This place reminds me of The Giver without all the rules because it seems so perfectly clean. The last page it shows the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This page is about the amazing places to visit in BPC. Even though both the places above aren’t in BPC, you can go to them from BPC. I also have a picture of the upcoming World Trade Center, which will be coming in 2013 to be the Official Museum of the World Trade Center. It will feature many artifacts of the tragic event, they even saved the stairs of one of the towers. I hope this essay showed how BPC is it’s own little place downtown. It shows kind neighbors and how clean it is. I will always love BPC and I hope that this essay showed you that you should love it too or if this essay made you want to go to BPC, please tell the author, he would highly appreciate it. THE END
