TRE METHODOLOGY MANUAL CONTENTS

OVERVIEW  Objective To develop a comprehensive manual in order to enable researchers to conduct a TRE study in any given country  Introduction- summary of manual contents. This would outline the skeleton of the manual, attempting to give a brief summary of the contents Describe the contents of attached cd

OVERVIEW  Background Objective of the TRE Assessment (why perception, investment climate studies etc) What the TRE Assessment measure are How the TRE Assessment measures were formed What the response categories are How the response categories were formed Methodology TRE Assessment: 6 country comparison

METHODOLOGY  Selecting samples Identifying categories Sample sizes  Method of data collection Introduction Gaining the respondents cooperation Best practices Confidentiality

SELECTING SAMPLES  Identifying categories Justification for the three categories that have been recommended. Selection of respondents for each category. Random or pre-selected according to a specific criteria.  Sample size Should depend on the countries that are being considered. The number of respondents for each category. Whether the study is concise or more general in nature.

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION  Introduction General pointers dealing with data collection. Such as etiquette etc. Creating an environment conducive to feedback.
