Tips from Missouri Break the Bill Down – keep it simple Get a powerful sponsor Get bill heard early Lobbyist Grass Roots Support Educate Early Face-to-Face Meetings are Better Build solid relationships with nursing groups (not just on the compact). Trust is key. Build relationships with lobbyists and legislators.
