In-depth report on energy efficiency potential across Missouri Accepted comments until mid-May Final report released this summer ACEEE to hold events around state to highlight findings of the report.

HB 613 Significantly less renewable power than Prop C Would have required 750MW new renewables Prop C would have required 3000MW total Would have doubled incentives for solar

HB 613 Passed out of Renewable Energy Committee 10-0 Negotiations ultimately revolved around major industrial energy users and utilities. Nuclear “Early Site Permit” (ESP) negotiations dominated session Ameren strikes a deal with major energy users on final day of session at 4:30pm Final bill lands on Senate floor at 5:15pm, dies at 5:45pm (session ends at 6:00pm). 9

10 Legislative Session Overview
Interconnection Standards – “HB 877” To simplify and streamline interconnection of large systems (100kw – 20MW). Hearing held in House Utilities Committee Sponsor: Rep TJ Berry Stakeholder summit to be held this summer to hammer out provisions within law.

11 The Road Ahead Interconnection policy: Develop language and build support for passage in 2012. Continue movement building within MO. Development of PACE programs around Missouri. Increase outreach to Muni and Coop Boards.

12 The Road Ahead New RES ballot initiative for 2012?
Feasibility study happening now Currently in talks with funders, partners and pollsters to develop strategy. Developing language with input from coalition of groups and experts.
