Defining Social Change Critics feel that ‘Social Change’ is too basic of a term and needs further context:  Sociocultural evolution  Paradigmatic change  Political revolution  Social movement/revolutions

Sociocultural Evolution The idea that society moves forward by looking from different perspectives, arguing over certain points of view then eventually changing.

Paradigmatic Change  When society shifts from one point of view or way of thinking to another (eg. Feudalism to capitalism).
