Marketing Seminar for Public and Community Libraries Marketing and Advocacy Interest Group

2 To support and promote the aims and objectives of the Association (LIASA), as set in Article 5 of the constitution Matters of national importance will be dealt with by the National PRO and supported by MAIG To unite Library and Information employees interested in furthering and improving library and information services throughout South Africa by means of marketing and advocating for LIS To provide for the exchange of new ideas and experiences among members at national and regional workshops, meetings and conferences Aims and Objectives

3 Marketing and Advocacy Interest Group To liaise and co-operate with other groups and organisations in the advancement of the marketing and advocating of library services in South Africa To advocate for the enhancement and development of LIS in South Africa To advocate for, and address all issues, which are of importance and which affect LIS in South Africa To commit to quality library services, which benefit the users of library and information services in South Africa Aims and Objectives
