Introducing the Agreed Syllabus 2011

Why a new syllabus? statutory requirement role of the SACRE and ASC third joint syllabus of the Humberside partnership

Whats new? no hard copy; everything on one disc brings together national guidance and local requirements supplementary materials and web-links fields of enquiry form the statutory core incorporates new planning model and exemplar termly units of learning EYFS aligned to national guidance and given greater prominence

RE in the EYFS RE is non-statutory until children reach statutory school age taken from EYFS Framework with additional comments and RE scenarios from local practitioners EYFS programme provides an essential foundation for KS1 RE

What you will recognise RE and the curriculum statutory requirements - no change fields of enquiry format learning about… learning from… levels of attainment subject-specific support: Getting Started with World Religions

Statutory requirements state schools, academies and trust schools should follow the locally agreed syllabus; however there are some exceptions such as some denominational institutions which follow their prescribed syllabus (The agreed syllabus in different types of schools)
