How to evaluate a poem TPCASTT: Think – What is the importance of the title? – Put each stanza into your own words – Devices- in a testing situation, you will be asked the importance of a certain device. – IS there a shift in the tone/mood of the poem? – What is the theme? ( look at overall idea in poem)
