As Shown in a Diagram All computers “connect can connect to a cloud service” Image borrowed from yc.com

Cloud Storage Services We have a variety of different free to use cloud storage services such as: Google Drive Dropbox Facebook Microsoft You might have been using them though its not always obvious that you have

Features Of Them Some Key Features are: File Storage and backup Certain sites such as Facebook only allow image & video storage

Helps prevent loss of information Teaching is becoming more dependent on technology with file storage services such as Dropbox and Google Drive you have a lower chance of loosing Teaching resources Students have a lower chance of loosing work

Collaborative work

What is it? The process of where 2 or more users are working as part of a group. E.g. 2 school kids

Collaborative working in school Working as a group can be tricky especially within a school Collaboration can be used within cloud technology to share files and work on the same document simultaneously

Key Software and some of its features in collaboration - Dropbox Sharing documents and areas to specific users Accessing the same document and updating it for all users Synchronising between all computers the system is installed on

Key Software and some of its features in collaboration – Google Drive Sharing documents and areas to specific users Accessing the same document and updating it for all users Synchronising between all computers the system is installed on One special feature google documents has which others don’t necessarily have All collaborative users can access the same document at the same time and make changes where they’re all updated in real time
