PANEL PRESENTER BIOS

Deyowidro:t -Teri Morrow Sge ̀ :no ̀ :Hello, Teri Morrow is a Cayuga woman and mother from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Teri graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.Sc.Human Ecology Honours Foods and Nutrition in She completed her dietetic internship at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and the Aboriginal Nutrition Network of Dietitians of Canada. Through her consulting business Align Our Body (Ogwaya’dadohehsdoh: It Aligns Our Bodies Food, Water & Medicine) she is actively involved in the promotion and education in the field of dietetics and has partnered in material production, presentations and nutrition research coordination with EatRight Ontario, Ministry of Child and Youth Services (FASD/CNP) and the First Nations Food Nutrition and Environment Study (FNFNES.ca). She shares her passion for nutrition with her community as an advocate for dietetics and has been featured on Indspireds’ website under Health Careers promotion: Dietitian. Trehs Nya:weh.

Shelly Crack Shelly has been the community dietitian on Haida Gwaii for a decade. Her professional passions are local food, connecting farmers & gathers with schools and kids to their food, prenatal nutrition, cooking and promoting healthy living. She studied dietetics at UBC and moved to Northern BC immediately after completing her internship. She started her career travelling to 8 different Aboriginal communities from Hazelton to Haida Gwaii. After 4 years of sea planes, ferries and long drives, she settled in Masset, the Northern tip of Haida Gwaii, where she lives with her family that includes Freya (5) and Huxley (2). She lives by the beach, enjoys growing and cooking food, kayaking, surfing and playing with her kids at the beach.

Suzanne Johnson Suzanne is a Registered Dietitian and member of the Penticton Band (Okanagan Nation). Suzanne works for the newly formed First Nations Health Authority as a Program Nutritionist. Prior to the formation of the FNHA, she worked for First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (federal government). She graduated from UBC Dietetics in 1994
