Meet the Canterbury Pilgrims

Assignment Create THREE PowerPoint slides to help teach the class about your pilgrim. Slide one: Bullet the following: Job, Physical Description, Mode of transportation, Accomplishments, Passions, Chaucers attitude Slide two: What the pilgrim appears to be; what he/she is on the surface. Attach three quotes that convey the appearance of this character to a picture that portrays what the pilgrim appears to be. Slide three: What the pilgrim actually is for real. Pay close attention to Chaucers irony and determine his attitude toward the pilgrim. What is hidden beneath the surface of this character? Find a picture that reveals the dark side of this pilgrim. Or, if Chaucer truly admires this pilgrim, find a picture of a famous person who reminds you of Chaucers character. Attach three quotes that convey what this pilgrim really is. Slide four: Show us a list of VICES and or VIRTUES of this pilgrim. ****Place in my drop box.

The Knight …had followed chivalry, truth, honor, generousness and courtesy. He never yet a boorish thing had said in all his life" In fifteen mortal battles he had been and jousted for our faith at Tramissene…and always killed his man.

…but he was not gaily dressed. He wore a fustian tunic stained and dark. He was a true, a perfect gentle-knight. And though so much distinguished, he was wise and in his bearing modest as a maid.
