How will YOU stop Diabetes? The future is in your hands. How will YOU eat HEALTHY in the Cafeteria?

November is American Diabetes Month. Dont over fill your plate. Enjoy 3 veggies and 3 fruits each day. Only visit the dessert bar once a day. Choose either a cookie or ice cream. Only one cookie. Only one scoop of ice cream.

Take advantage of the salad bar! Eat all of the colors in the rainbow. Try new foods! Especially new fruits and veggies. Drink at least 1 glass of water per meal.

Visit a new station each meal! Get protein and fiber at every meal. Protein: meat and tofu. Fiber: whole grains and veggies. Look out for fatty and sugary foods. Grab a piece of fruit after every meal to eat as a snack!
