WordPress Calendars Getting Started with a Calendar for your site Only one calendar for a website!

Calendar Create a page for your calendar by selecting New Page and name the page Calendar. Next you will add the following to the page: {CALENDAR} The word calendar MUST be in all capital letters and inside the braces. Publish and you will have a full page calendar showing on your site.

Add Events to Calendar On your dashboard, scroll the bottom of the left sidebar and locate Calendar and expand to display the menu options

Calendar Categories Not everyone will want to have calendar categories but this is a great option since you may only have one calendar per website. You may use this option for different sports on an athletic calendar or different class assignment if you teach more than one subject or level or school events vs classroom events.

Determine the Needed Categories Select Manage Categories Name the category and select color for the category. The naming system is for the hex system which uses 6 numbers. You may also type the name of a color if it has 6 letters or fewer.
