Workshop B Education We need a fundamental shift in what we require of our educational institutions –from transfer / acquisition of knowledge –to fostering the capacity of individuals to construct knowledge for themselves and contributing to societal health, stability and equality

Workshop B Education The Means Reduce the barriers between formal and informal education, particularly at third level Foster diversity in the student body from pre-school level up Invest in social capital, lifting the industry / 3M model into the sphere of education –curriculum –teacher training –teaching practice Strengthen team working –at first and second level within schools –at third level for project work, connecting the projects to the outside world
