Scholarships

Things to consider …  What types of scholarships are out there?  Why apply?  Specifically, what should I look for & consider when choosing scholarships?  Deadlines  Specific requirements  GPA, class rank %, ACT score  Transcripts, letters of recommendation, essays, interviews, projects  Careers, schools, members of …  Time commitment for completion

Where do I find scholarships?  Guidance Counselor  Suggestions  Helpful websites  Guidance Office  EHS handbook  Filing cabinet  Mrs. Gebhart  Applications, forms, sign-up sheets  Mrs. Ohm  Transcripts, GPA, class rank, etc.

Scholarship Assignment  Find a current scholarship in which you are qualified to apply.  Check deadlines & requirements closely  Print 2 copies of the application.  Print all requirement information.  Fill out the entire application. Keep a blank copy for corrections.  Complete all other requirements (essay, letters, etc.).  All components are due September 9 th.  Make any necessary corrections after your work has been graded.  Submit your scholarship by the deadline.  Mail at least 5 days prior to the deadline.  Good luck!  Good luck!
