Psalm 18:34 34 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

Psalm 144:1-2 1 Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; 2 he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

WAR!

What Is It Good For?

WAR! What Is It Good For? Absolutely Nothing!

WAR! What Is It Good For?

HOW ABOUT GETTING RID OF ADOLF HITLER!

20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

Proverbs 28:5 5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.

1.The primary purpose of judgment is salvation. 2.The enemies of Israel were God’s enemies as well. 3.War seems to have been necessary in a world of incredible depravity to separate a people sufficiently to receive the revelation of God and create an atmosphere for the coming of a Redeemer.

4.the people against whom war was made had time to repent. Some, like Rahab, did so. God’s original and comprehensive plan was to displace, not annihilate. 5.Judgment for sin always comes, in some cases sooner than others. The death of all men is part of this judgment. God uses various instruments in this judgment, and in the Old Testament he used the nation Israel.

6.We do not really understand the wrath of God. He has a deep, unremitting hatred of sin, which is the chief, though not the only, object of his wrath (Ps 5:5). If we do not understand his wrath against sin, we will never understand the depth of his love in providing redemption from that sin. 7.The physical life of man is not nearly as important as the spiritual or eternal, not nearly as important

as truth and righteousness. For those who will not repent, the shorter the life, the less accumulation of judgment. This is especially so in the case of children. 8.War in the Old Testament was waged by special revelation, something that cannot be claimed for war in this era
