CAAMS : The Complete Automation Computer Aided Automation And Management System By Ajay Koul Sonika Gupta Faculty School of Computer Science and Engineering SHRI MATA VAISHNO DEVI University, Katra, J&K

CAAMS: Objective The objective of this project is to design, and develop a complete integrated solution For providing Computer Aided Support for Decision making functions in Education Sector. Storage and Maintenance of e- records along with creating a transparent environment for Evaluation. Performance analysis and similar key functions. To provide free solution to the Educational Sector.

Why CAAMS? ➲ CAAMS will be a Standard Based Platform developed in Java for automation and management of integrated processes of any Education Sector. ➲ CAAMS will have a set of pre-built components ready to be used by institutions. ➲ CAAMS will have thousands of customized pluggable programs which can be configured to run on the top of CAAMS Platform. ➲ CAAMS will be Free and Open Source

CAAMS: Platform Standard based AxAdf Platform, using which organizations can manage their processes with efficiency and integrity. Provide customized environment where Users can configure system as per their choices. Integration service using which users can inter connect their applications. Integrated security to all applications Extension support using which Users can add new application to the CAAMS domain

CAAMS : How it works ? ➲ CAAMS will be developed on AxADF, a standard based Platform. This platform specification can manage any application which maps processes. ➲ It will also provides additional API to extend the CAAMS software for future improvements and regular updates.

CAAMS Architecture CAAMS Layer Architecture AxAdf Specifications Standard Application Development (API) Application Management (Built In) User Interface Management Database Security & Management Extension & Integration Management

CAAMS : Technology ➲ Uses Java Technology which powers CAAMS to be configured on Any Platform (Linux,Sun Solaris,Windows,Apple Mac) ➲ AxADF Platform which helps developers develop CAAMS components and integrate them ➲ Uses Mysql,An Open source & Free DBMS, free from license terms ➲ Uses international ODF format for homogeneous data transfer

Area Of Applications CAAMS can be used by Educational Institutions It can also be extended for different other sector like: Government Institutions, Real Estate Agency, Banks, Small and Medium sized organizations, Offices. Users can select the packages as per their requirements and CAAMS will manage the packages.

CAAMS : Pre Built Components ➲ Admission System ➲ Registration System ➲ Finance Management System Student Finance System Employee Finance System(Payroll) Sales,Purchase & inventory management ➲ Academics Management System ➲ Exam & Result Management

CAMS : Components(cont.) ➲ Hostel management System ➲ Profile management System Student Profile Employees Profile ➲ Library Management System ➲ Mess / Catering management System ➲ Event management System

CAAMS : Security ➲ CAAMS Central Security (SSL configurable) ➲ Mysql Encryption(using AES Encryption) ➲ Built In Java Security ➲ 3 Level User Management ➲ Built In Logging Management System(Fully Encrypted)

Methodology Project Initiation and Planning System Design System Analysis System Development System Testing and Implementation Project Windup

Important Milestones Phase I (6 months) – Team selection & organization Detailed analysis of the problem domain – Users interaction – Data gathering – Questionnaires Study of Existing/partial solutions – Study the existing solutions, their degree of applicability and users views about it – Visit to the solution providers, their views about the problem Candidate system planning, Technology selection – Visit to Hardware/software providers – Detailed cost analysis – Infrastructural analysis

Important Milestones Phase II (6 months) During this phase, the most critical Management systems for top level administration of the Institutions will be developed.
