Learning area 1 Who am I?

I am special because… All humans have some things in common…. They all need food and water to stay alive. They all breathe. They all started life off as babies. Slide 2

I am special because… We all have things that make us different from each other too…. Some of us have brown hair and some blonde. Some of us are tall and some of us are smaller. Some of us are from England, and some of us are not. Some of us have family from England, and some of our families are from other places. Slide 3

I am special because… All these things make up our identities. They are what make us different from each other. They are what make us special. Slide 4

I am special because… How are you similar to your partner? How are you different? Slide 5

My storybook You are going to create a storybook all about your life. The work we have already done about identities, similarities and differences will help you with this. Slide 6

My storybook Make your book as colourful, creative and interesting as you can. You can use: Photos Drawings Magazine cuttings Descriptive words Quotes Stories Slide 7

Timeline of me How old will you be in: 10 years? 30 years? 60 years? Slide 8

Timeline of me What do you think you’ll be doing? Will you be in school or university? Will you be working? What job might you be doing? What will be important to you? Friends and family? Work? Sport, TV, travel? Slide 9

Dreaming about the future We all have dreams. Dreams change over time and that’s okay. Dreams are powerful things – even if you don’t get there, they can help you get further than you thought possible. Working hard can help us achieve our dreams. Slide 10
