 click on the Advanced Search link- right of the Google search box.  It will bring you to this page.

“Safe Search” filters explicit sites and restricts it from your search result. Does not filter sites that contain: – hate speech – anarchy – criminal activity – crude and tasteless material – illegal weapons It is keeping our youth innocent

 A phrase search - double quotes around a set of words. o often unnecessary o look up exactly what’s in the quotes – EX: “Alexander Bell”  Type site: to search a specific website  Ex: site:Iraqnightimes.com  An asterisk is a placeholder for unknown terms o Ex: Google*
