LACUE Presenters Do you have great ideas that use technology in the classroom? Some of the best and most useful information I received at the conference came from fellow educators. Abney teachers are innovators who work really hard to promote student learning. Is there something that works for you that other teachers might enjoy using too? Start thinking!
My Presentation Kristen Hernandez, a 6 th grade teacher at Carolyn Park, had several wonderful ideas using a software program called “Tinker Plots”. She asked me to share related websites during her presentation. A Data Links web page was born.
Data Links Here’s the site address: ta.html. ta.html There is a list of awesome websites on a variety of levels pertaining to graphing and data. Many are interactive and can be used with the promethean board, as centers, or to send home as practice sites for those kids who need a little extra practice. There are also tutorial videos about “Tinker Plots” listed at the top in case you are interested in the software. Tinker Plots can be used across the curriculum.
