Examples of permanent accounts include asset and liability accounts (balance sheet accounts), as well as the owner’s capital account. Temporary Accounts – Accounts used to accumulate information until it is transferred to the owner’s capital account. Examples of temporary accounts are revenue and expense accounts (income statement accounts), the owner’s drawing account, and the income summary account. LESSON 8-2
