Goal: Compare function of cell organelles to functions of organism Warm Up: List 3 organelles and their functions (example- can’t use this one- chromosome= DNA, instructions for the cell)

Cell Organelle Comparison Project You will choose one project from the menu as a way to present your material. You need to explain the function of each cell organelle and compare it to the function of a body system or organ or a job. The grading is: 3 points for each organelle, each function, and each comparison (81 pts) 10pts for neatness & creativity; 9 pts turned in on time = Jan 8th

Menu Choices Venn Diagram – must have a title for entire diagram, & a title for each section Game- 4 thematic game pieces, board with title, contain a set of rules for play Cartoon/comic strip- must have at least 6 boxes/drawings, meaningful dialogue, creative use of color Crossword puzzle- puzzle and answer key Collage- no clip art, pictures from magazines or internet, labeled- organelle, function, comparison Song- words that make sense, must be at least 2 minutes Acrostic- use “organelle” or other word down the middle, then use it to list organelle, functions, & comparisons Mobile- list all organelles, functions, & comparisons News report- the who, what when of the project; turn in a script or perform it for the class (purple=kinesthetic; yellow=visual; green=verbal; blue=written)
