Accommodations are in superior three-star hotels. Breakfast is included at our hotels. We will have some group meals that are included in the travel fee, but most lunches and dinners will be on your own. We will be visiting businesses and meeting with high-level executives. The dress code for these visits is business casual (Men: slacks and button-down shirts; Women: slacks or skirt and blouse.) Culture and leisure activities are more casual. Our itinerary will include the dress code for each day’s activities. All meetings and tours will be conducted in English. Class Assignments for this class include readings, written reports, Internet research, threaded discussions, and a reflective paper at the conclusion of the trip. The class will be conducted online during the fall semester. On-campus UW students with limitations to the allowable number of credit hours taken online are exempted from that limitation for this class (does not count as part of online hours). Only students who are traveling with the group to South America may enroll for the online course. Students whose travel fees have not been paid to the Dept. of Management and Marketing will be administratively dropped from the course unless arrangements are made for payment. Students enrolled for graduate credit (BUSN 5540) will have additional required assignments.
