The total tour cost is $3,157 Therefore, John’s monthly payments are only $243 TOTAL COST ÷ NO. OF MONTHS ––––––––––––––––––––––––––– = MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO BE DEDUCTED $3,157 ÷13 = $243
