2009 – 2010 Paving the way to meet the goals of the Coalition. Achieve a collaboration between French schools, organizations and community agencies.

Vision Improve the development and physical, mental, emotional and behavioral health of Francophone children and youth in Simcoe County. Increase student and family involvement in school activities. Increase student responsabilities and social skills. Promote support group creation and increase access to parents. All this, in a francophone community where all can receive services in their own language.

Tasks List and sort all programs that address school needs,. Identify those available in French or able to be adapted. Mesure capacities within the committee. (Organization mandates: early years, public health, mental health, violence, cultural, social, etc…) Pair services and existing programs offered by organization and agency members. Engage organization and agency members to deliver programs addressing specific needs within schools. Promote all available programs to parents of children attending French schools in Simcoe County. Maintain and improve programs as needed. Explore different program delivery models.

Community needs Francophone community being very small but serving a large area, we must unite in order to be more effective with the limited resources we have. In order to unite, we must meet every month to strengthen and create new relationships, in order to ensure maximum service potential.

Moving forward! Evaluation of past accomplishement will be done in COMPASS is the only networking opportunity between French school boards, organization and agency members and will remaine a priority.
