Introduction  In this webquest, we will be “Discovering Dinosaurs.” We will be exploring multiple types of dinosaurs, so if you are ready to discover…lets go!

Dinosaur Facts  Dinosaurs are prehistoric reptiles  The first dinosaurs existed about 230 million years ago  There were 700 species of dinosaurs  Dinosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago  A meteorite impact was the main cause of the extinction of dinosaurs  People did not coexist with the dinosaurs  There were swimming dinosaurs

The Age of Dinosaurs  Dinosaurs lived about 230 million years ago.  Dinosaurs lived on all continents and in all natural settings.

When and how dinosaurs became extinct  Dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago.  A main reason dinosaurs became extinct was because of a meteorite impact.

Four dinosaur meanings  Tyrannosaurus means “tyrant lizard king”  Stegosaurus means “covered lizard” or “roof lizard”  Brachiosaurus means “arm lizard”  Allosaurus means “different lizard”
