Mathematics Instructional Model CPM 1 /FFA 1 0 The math curriculum follows the state’s Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for 6 th grade. The standards provide clear expectations for instruction, assessment, and student work. The standards isolate the skills students need for problem-solving, reasoning, communicating, and making connections with other information. 0 The following on-line source is available for students to access homework practice at home: Classwork includes checking of homework, concept/skills instruction, practice problems, problem-solving, and performance tasks. 0 Assessments occur at the end of each unit. A Homework Record comes home at the end of each Unit Test. Attached are homework sheets and a matrix that summarizes the result of a unit test.

Grading Policy Homework Policy: 0 Spelling homework and vocabulary packet homework are graded. Spelling tests are counted into Language grades 0 Weekly reading logs are graded and counted into Reading grades 0 We will have major tests at the end of each unit in math and quizzes dispersed throughout.
Behavior Steps 0 One Reminder/Warning to make a good choice or change to positive action. 0 Warning 2 – CC Ticket stating a consequence to go home requires a parent signature or parent contact. 0 For other behavior issues refer to Parent/Student Handbook for school rules and policies. 0 Three (3) tickets may result in a behavior referral to Mrs. Wick especially if behavior issue is constant.
