Technical and installed realization The technical decisions, for providing scientifically-organizational actions in the House of International Meetings (HIM or Russian abbr.“DMS”) of JINR, are caused by modern requirements to means of display of the information, a sound- technical complex, presence of wire and wireless local networks with an output in Internet and system network video streaming. At the first stage, 2 halls for meetings in the JINR’s “DMS” are equipped by the projection, presentation, video and the switching devices. By development of the project functionality of creation of the centralized management was considered by a complex. The primary goals by development of the project were put: 1. High quality displaying the information on the projective equipment; 2. Reliability and simplicity in operation; 3. The opportunity of switching the number of sources and types of a signal; 4. Scaling and escalating of system during operation. 5. Reequipment of a sound part of a complex 6. Introduction an Internet-broadcasting and streaming in a local network 7. The organization of legal (protocol) audio/video record. 8. Wireless access to network and Internet, based on Wi-Fi technology

An overview of the components

Scheme: Installed video switching devices The basic scheme of the equipment and the switching, realized in installation Flexible opportunities of scaling The international conferences Telecommunication forums Hybrid presentations Digital cinema DVD DVD HDTV HDTV

Switching features of the projective part Feature of the project is the opportunity of wide functional purpose of the equipment, and as compatibility with the standard of video 720p and 1080i/p at display of the visual information to video projector Sanyo PLC XP-55 with a light stream 5500ANSI Lm in the main hall. For high-grade use of a video projector, in system applied for increasing number of lines images - scaler/switcher with switching signals without undermining synchronization Kramer VP-724DS, allowing to increase twice number of lines in a standard signal. Sound subsystem At the first stage installed a digital microphone UHF system Behringer 165 G2 Evolution, a wire microphones Behringer 135, and the compressor-gate (DBX) with association of microphone channels and maintenance a uniform level of preamplification, and system a feedback destroyer (DBX). The sound amplification part, in which now all loudspeakers are connected in parallel, without division into the left and right channels. After the modernization of a switching infrastructure and use of the new amplification equipment, there is possible to have a stereophonic sound. The main task now - installation the main mixer, with presence of functions of creation the groups of sources of a signal and their addressing, and the digital input/output through interface FireWire. It will allow to make legal digital record of audio of materials in a personal computer without analog-digital transformation, that considerably will improve quality of these data.

Network streaming and storageing Started the Internet streaming system, under mms protocol, based on Windows Media 9 technology and Windows Server 2003 Ent. The announcement address - mms://video.jinr.ru Based on Windows Media 9, because some important moments like administration and quality aspects, better realized in it. Integration of the given service into OS on the client side and support, including, under OS Linux, speaks about an opportunity in the further to make migration on version 10. Access to video to a stream is possible through the JINR’s Administrative information system located to the address of In a kind of an interdiction in computer network JINR of broadcasting traffic Multicast, the technology of transfer of video stream from a server to client Unicast, establishing some restrictions on the high-speed parameter accepted under standards in 351 KBit/sec is accepted. The second part - organization of the automated system of record, archiving and indexations video and audio streams with creation the base of multimedia data. It is caused by the requirement to the legal organization and carrying out of scientific and administrative actions and conferences. Access to created archive is regulated, including through corporate information system. In the further it will allow to create evident information materials on CD or DVD disks after the ending of conference with inclusion of video recordings of performances, texts of reports, presentations, additional data, with the interactive navigating interface.

Network streaming and storing scheme

Conclusions: in JINR’s multimedia infrastructure is realized: I Stage: –It is lead technical 2 halls for meetings in JINR’s HIM projective, video and the switching equipment, with an opportunity of creation of the centralized operating system –The server of an Internet-streaming, based on mms protocol, Windows Media 9 technology and Windows Server 2003, is installed and started II stage: –The organization of the automated system of capture, compression, archiving and indexations video and audio streams with creation the base of media data –The organization of the regulated access to created archive, including through corporate information system III stage: FUTURE –Development and introduction in HIM “DMS” uniform multimedia of an infrastructure on the basis of a control system and distribution video and audio streams –Creation of an opportunity of presence of the removed participants of symposiums through system of a video conferencing and/or a space bridge in passing sessions –Association of all presentation equipment: sources of video/audio of signals, means of display of the information, the switching equipment, the congress-system and sound system in uniform, on-line operated infrastructure –Introduction of a corporate media of culture, with creation of hi-tech rooms and halls for seminars/symposiums, with integration of services of a multiservice network of data transmission
