Does Santa exist? Father Christmas does exist in Spanish speaking cultures, however the gifts do not come from him but from the reyes magos.

Who are the reyes magos? The reyes magos or wise kings are Melchor the king of Ethiopia, Gaspar the king of the orient,& Baltasar- the king of Arabia. These kings were coming to Bethlehem to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus.

Christmas presents The wise kings are the ones who bring the presents in Spanish speaking cultures. But why don´t they bring them on Christmas eve? It is believed that January 6th is the day the three kings arrived bringing gifts to baby jesus so this is why gifts are delivered this day.

What is the most important part of Christmas? Spanish speaking countries are very religious and therefore take Christ´s birthdate very seriously. On Nochebuena, Christmas eve, families have a large dinner together to celebrate his birth. This is the largest most important dinner of the year.

Do reindeer exist? Yes! Spanish speakers believe that Father christmas has a sleigh with 9 lovely reindeer. Donner (Trueno) Blitzen (Relámpago) Vixen (Juguetón) Cupid (Cupido) Comet (Veloz) Dasher (Enérgico) Dancer (Bailarín) Prancer (Saltador Rudolph (Rudolfo)
