Introduction Various lists of the Wonders of the World have been compiled from antiquity to the present day, to catalogue the world's most spectacular natural wonders and manmade structures. Every four years the wonders are changed by a process of voting.

The Pyramid at Chichén Itzá(Mexico) Built around 800 A.D. ( between 550-900 A.D. ) El Castillo's design is thought to relate to the Mayan calendar. Each of the four faces incorporates a broad, steep staircase consisting of 91 steps that ascends to the top platform.
