Electronics Trainer Circuit Board eTCB Electronics Trainer Circuit Board

What is eTCB? The eTCB System consists of the custom-built trainer board (eTCB) that works with National Instruments’ ELVIS (Electronics Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite) and a personal computer for students to perform DC/AC lab experiments.

What is the purpose of eTCB? Perform DC/AC lab experiments Work with real components and real circuits Measure real electrical quantities, so students to not need to rely exclusively on simulation Perform measurements and develop industry-relevant experience Offer a flexible, practical and cost effective lab environment

Delmar Learning and National Instruments: eTCB is a product that supports National Instruments’ ELVIS workstation If your institution has invested in, or is considering the ELVIS system, eTCB can help enhance instruction and retention in the DC/AC circuit portion of your curriculum.

NI ELVIS (Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite) Oscilloscope DMM Function Generator ARB Bode Analyzer DSA Power Supply NI ELVIS is… NI Data Acquisition Board Workstation and Proto-board Combining the workstation with software-created instruments, NI ELVIS provides instrument capabilities required in design & instrumentation labs, including: Oscilloscope, DMM, Function Generator, Power Supply. Other instrument capabilities are available, that usually require specific stand-alone instruments. These include: Arbitrary Waveform Generator, Bode Analyzer, Dynamic Signal Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer. One note is that the measurement ranges of these instruments are based on the DAQ board, with the exception of the built-in Variable Power Supply and Function Generator. Therefore, the NI ELVIS Oscilloscope has a max sampling rate of 500kS/sec/channel ; the NI ELVIS DMM has a max voltage range of 20VDC. These instrument capabilities allow NI ELVIS to be used in a variety of courses, including: Instrumentation ( EE / ME ) Circuits ( EE / Physics ) Signal Processing ( EE / ME ) Control Design ( EE / ME ) Communications ( EE ) Mechatronics ( ME ) Instrumentation Circuits Signal Processing Control Design Communications Mechatronics
