(10 mins) And go over that open-ended the next day, after I look at it. LAST TWO WEEKS: We will take sample test every other day. One day take it, the next day go over it. The sample test will be exactly like the actual. (40 minutes – work on our timing) YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS ANY CLASSES!!!!

Lesson 1 - REAL NUMBERS (as opposed to fake numbers?)

Definitions to know Natural (or counting) numbers: {1,2,3…} Whole numbers: {0,1,2,3…} Integers: {…-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3…} Rational numbers: {all numbers that can be expressed in the form m/n, where m and n are integers and n is not zero}. The decimal form of a rational number is either a terminating or repeating decimal. Irrational number: {all nonterminating, nonrepeating decimals}. Any number that is not a perfect square has an irrational square root.

Rational Numbers A rational number is a real number that can be written as a fraction. A rational number written in decimal form is terminating or repeating.

Irrational Numbers An irrational number is a number that cannot be written as a fraction of two integers. Irrational numbers written as decimals are non-terminating and non-repeating.
