Correct as Usual! Oh, Richard Burbach, what an interesting man. The top actor in England in my time, thought of himself as the “only actor” in London. Bottom has a loveable arrogant side which takes true talent to portray, hence the casting of Burbach. Thou Can’t be Fooled! Thou art on the ball! I used the line “I can tell a hawk from a handsaw” because during Elizabethan time, emotions on stages were acted out by gestures, two of which being the hawk and handsaw which were considered poor acting. Hamlet uses this to say he can tell when someone is lying, or putting on a show.
