Base Camp: I’m a Christian who is now, or is working toward being involved with on Sundays, financially supporting the church and involved in a ministry. 1)I will feed my soul daily in God’s Word and prayer. 2)I will get together weekly with at least one other person for life discipleship process. 3)Once a month, with my discipleship partner(s) I will do something for someone in the community for Christ’s sake. Tough questions about church and Christianity

Tough Questions: Why is it that ‘church’ in America is losing ground? Not fulfilling it’s mission? Why aren’t people interested in what we’re offering? What are we offering?

Why are we not experiencing or expressing the message of Jesus adequately? 1950’s version of Christianity may not translate well into Roman Road to Salvation: 4 Spiritual Laws: Evangelism Explosion: The message was forgiveness of sins and heaven when you die.

How did Jesus go about it? Luke 18 and 19

Me? I should be a better person. My world? My life should be better. The world? The world should be better. What are people concerned about now? What are their needs that the message of Jesus meets?

How about listening to people this week. Really listening for their deep needs. How about reviewing the life of Christ this week, looking for how he engaged people. What are people concerned about now? What are their needs that the message of Jesus meets?
