Christmas is of celebrating the birth of Jesus It is celebrated on the 25th of December. Christmas is a magical season, bringing families and friends together to share traditions and customs which have been around for centuries. Many customs came from earlier mid – winter festivals which had nothing to do with the Christian church. The Romans, for example, held the festival of Saturnalia around 25 December. They decorated homes with evergreens as they believed that thanks to their ceremonies the sun will have its power back. NextBack

Santa Claus Santa Claus is one of the most beloved Christmas symbol. Everyone in the world know the image of the jolly old elf who flies in a sleigh pulled by reindeers leaving presents. The history of Santa Claus begins with a man named Saint Nicholas, the Bishop of Myra (now – Turkey). He was known of giving all his money to the poor. Back Next

Santa Claus poem ‘He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his sack. His eyes how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry; His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow. The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. He had a broad face, and a little round belly That shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly. He was chubby and plump,--a right jolly old elf-- And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself.’ BackNext Written by Clement C. Moore in 1822 as a Christmas present to his children.

Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me (Happy Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it With a note saying "I Love You" I meant it Now I know what a fool I've been But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again BackNext
