* In-Class Support/Collaborative Class - general education class co-taught by a general education and special education teacher. Students are expected to be able to master the curriculum (Common Core Standards) with accommodations and modifications to instruction/assignments provided as needed. * Replacement Instruction - small group instruction following the student’s goals and objectives which align with the Common Core Standards. Instruction is available in language arts (reading/writing), math, social studies and science. * Replacement Instruction - Applied Academics - designed specifically to assist students with greater academic, communication, and social challenges. The goals and objectives, while related to the Common Core, emphasize application of the basic academic skills, transition issues, and the acquisition of social skills. Instruction is highly individualized based on the needs of the student. * Self-contained- Replacement instruction - Practical Academic Learning( PAL) - an extension of the Applied Academics philosophy for students with the greatest learning/social needs. The focus is completely individualized and on the practical application of academics. Development of life skills is emphasized.

* Each team consists of four homerooms * Each homeroom is staffed by a teacher from a different discipline – LA, Math, Sci, SS * Second, third, sixth and seventh periods are core academic periods – LA, Math, Sci, SS * Students receiving resource replacement instruction for an academic area will meet with a special education teacher in an alternate location during that period. * Resource in-class support takes place within the general education class with a special education teacher.
