In pairs, pick 1 question to discuss Was Jesus a vegetarian? Should a Christian be a vegetarian (or vegan)? Why did God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden? Who is the Holy Spirit? What are archangels? Is Michael the only archangel? Why did God create us? Why are we here? Why do people die? What are the New Heavens and the New Earth? Why did God choose Israel to be His chosen people?

Not every questioned will be answered – this is to encourage you to read the Bible in detail and seek investigate the possible answers for yourself… In your pairs, please spend the next 10-15 minutes reading the Bible passages & information for each question. At 11am, each pair will give a short 1-2 minute talk about their question and possible answer(s)…

What are archangels? Is Michael the only archangel? It refers to an angel who seems to be the leader of other angels. Even if there are multiple archangels, it seems that Michael is the chief among them. Thessalonians 4:16 Daniel 10:13

Why did God create us? Why are we here? For His pleasure Revelation 4:11 We’re made in the image of God Genesis 1:27 We’re are not God’s peers, we are lesser than Him Deuteronomy 4:35

Why do people die? Because of the original sin Genesis 2:17 “The wages of sin is death” Romans 6:23 Jesus has come to give us new life Romans 8:2

What are the New Heavens and the New Earth? The eternal dwelling place of believers will be the new earth. Revelation 21, 22 Heaven—the new earth—is a physical place where we will dwell with glorified physical bodies 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 God will recreate the world Revelation 21:1

Why did God choose Israel to be His chosen people? About Israel Deuteronomy 7:7-9 The Messiah would come from Abraham’s line Genesis 12:1-3 God’s ultimate purpose for Israel—that of bringing the Messiah into the world—was fulfilled perfectly in the Person of Jesus Christ.
