A Comparison of Levels Language Based Courses Academic  70% or higher in the course in grade 8  EQAO scores in grade 6 were level 3 or higher  Works independently  Self-motivated  Conscientious about completing assignments  Grade 8 teacher recommends this level. Applied  Marks in the 60’s for reading and writing  EQAO scores in grade 6 were level 2 or below  Requires additional assistance and support from teachers and parents.  Difficulty completing homework  Gr 8 teacher recommends this level.

A Comparison of Levels Math Based Courses Academic  75% or higher in math in grade 8  EQAO scores in grade 6 were level 3 or higher.  Good mastery of all basic math skills. (multiplication, fractions, managing multi-step problems)  Strong math vocabulary.  Conscientious about completing homework and studying.  Grade 8 teacher recommends this level.
