2 “Religion is the major cause for much of the mental illness in the world…Religion causes poverty and lack of intellectual development…Religion is the anthethesis of mental balance and is opposed to clarity and celerity of mind.”

3 Does Religion Make you Crazy? The gospel imparts understanding. The Bible informs man of his origin; purpose; and destiny (Gen. 1, 2; Eccl. 12: 13; Matt. 25: 46).

4 Does Religion Make you Crazy? The Bible imparts the remedy for guilt. God offers true forgiveness (Acts 2: 38; I Jn. 1: 7ff.).

5 Does Religion Make you Crazy? The Bible promotes and requires self-examination. Not only is self-examination taught but a standard is provided (2 Cor. 13: 5).

6 Does Religion Make you Crazy? The Bible teaches one day at a time. Jesus taught addressing the problems within a day (Matt. 6: 34).

7 Does Religion Make you Crazy? The gospel provides a priority order. First things first (Matt. 6: 33).

8 Does Religion Make you Crazy? Bible teaches against personal hatred. Vengeance is forbidden (Matt. 5: 43-47).

9 Does Religion Make you Crazy? God provides worthy goals. These goals enhance life and make us better people (Matt. 5: 48).

10 Does Religion Make you Crazy? All things considered, true religion promotes a sound mind, both physically and spiritually. A mind that thinks clearly and is able to form correct judgments.

11 Does Religion Make you Crazy? Rather than make people crazy, the gospel stabilizes Christians and makes them better husbands/wives; children; parents; citizens; works; and members of society. It provides peace that the world cannot provide (Jn. 14: 27).
