Two out of 1,000 child will develop C.P 40% born with C.P will have a severe case. 10,000 babies and infants are diagnosed with the condition each year. Cerebral Palsy is the most common motor disorder in infants. Who does C.P affect?

This disorder affects the Cerebrum. which controls voluntary movement such as thinking and emotions. the cerebral motor cortex (at the back of the frontal lobe) is usually damaged also. Cerebral Palsy may occur due to the damage of white matter (brain tissue). Where/How C.P affect the CNS/PNS

Symptoms:

Infants with a mild case of Cerebral Palsy is said to live a normal life span. Quality and lifespan can be improved if: mobility improves improve speech and communication improving independence Prognosis Of Cerebral Palsy
