General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 2 Hoang Van Thu street, Hanoi, Vietnam 18 Solutions  Try to conduct additional sound surveys and/or using administrative data for those that have not been yet collected (it takes 2-5 years to complete);  For data collected every two years (household income,…): Using data of surveyed years and base on other actual situation to forecast or estimate for non- surveyed years.

General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 2 Hoang Van Thu street, Hanoi, Vietnam 19 Questions, concerns Some data only collected from enterprises: amounts in storage, amounts processed,… 1.For many countries, amounts in storage and amounts processed of enterprises could be considered as total amounts storage and processed of the country. 2.For some other countries (especially developing countries, including Vietnam), amounts in storage & processed in households & establishments is considerably amounts. →The data not show the real situation in some countries & global level.

General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 2 Hoang Van Thu street, Hanoi, Vietnam 20 Questions, concerns… It is very difficult to collect that data from the household sector in Vietnam since they account for about 60% (or 10.5 millions) of total HHs in Vietnam while their production scale is very small (HHs with agricultural land area under 1 ha make up 81% total agricultural HHs).

General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 2 Hoang Van Thu street, Hanoi, Vietnam 21 Conclusion 1. Proposed criteria used to select the core items are generally appropriate. 2. Agree upon a set of core data items proposed for emerging demands. But it requires time and great efforts to collect and produce all data.

General Statistics Office of Vietnam, 2 Hoang Van Thu street, Hanoi, Vietnam 22 Thank you very much
