 Animators, also referred to as multimedia artists  Involves creating moving images  Create cartoons and visual effects in movies and television shows  The ones who gives life to the characters that is needed.  Spend long hours sitting at the computer creating their animations. Can be found working in certain Web areas of multimedia products or even online and off-line games.

 It varies a bit, salaries are $30,000-$40,000, more or less.  Get paid salary, not hourly, which is a disadvantage when you are working such long hours  If you want to earn more...a PhD won't help. It is all about work experience and the quality of your work  Many directors will say that a degree isn't even necessary if you have the skills  If you are really good and/or have a lot of experience, then you will work your way up to being an animation director, which means less animating and more managerial and decision making responsibilities. This pay is generally a bit better, but the work is exhausting.

 Volunteering  Internship  Ask to do anything. Example (sweep the floors)  Preparation for any career begins in high school.  Taking art courses during high school will provide the opportunity to advance artistic abilities and learn new techniques.  Animators will need to know how to manipulate images with computer software and be capable of working with the various types of multimedia

 With technology getting better everyday, animators will have more opportunities to advance their skills.  As the technology improves, motion capture will become inexpensive  Pixar and DreamWorks using the latest animation technology, advances in technology will continue to improve the audience’s viewing experiences.  3D animators have the capacity to make over $100,000 each year depending on industry working in  Should be expected that we will see some truly great films made for much less than the hundreds of millions  New forms of motion capture will be able to capture 100% of an actor’s movements. That would make video game characters even more realistic. Such as Call of Duty, Gears of War, and many more
