Antetonitrus Dasha

Meaning and Location The name of my dinosaur means “Before the thunder”. It lived in the late Triassic Period. It lived around 215 million years ago. The fossils were found in South Africa.

Height and Weight Antetonitrus is 30 feet long. It weighs 2 tons.

Description Its head was small Its body was long and connected to a long neck. Its back legs were longer than its front legs. It walked on 4 legs. It had a flexible claw thumb. Their teeth are flat and bumpy.

Food Antetonitrus is an herbivore. It eats plants. It used its flexible claw thumb to grasp food.

Interesting Facts One interesting fact about the Antetonitrus is that it was discovered by a young scientist named James Kitching, in 1981.
