Presentation transcript:

My comparative study looks at the extreme details and ability to demonstrate concepts by adding valuable images. Both worldwide famous painters Ingres and Mucha have inspired most of my work.

Ingres was a Neoclassicism artist who haves inspired most of my art works with his portrait of the Princesses of Broglie. This was the last painting Ingres made of a female sitter. The princess of Broglie full name was Joséphine Eléonore Marie Pauline de Galard de Brassacede Béarn. Ingres was able to captivate the importance of this women with the portrait. The princess was an important member of the Second Empire and was well known for her beauty and receive attitude. Tittle: Princesses de Broglie By: Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres Date: 1851–53 Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 47 3/4 x 35 3/4 in. (121.3 x 90.8 cm)

I can see Ingres demonstrate her beauty by the fine details and also by painting the dress as it is both covering but revealing in some areas. Ingress was able to demonstrate how important she is and rich with all the expensive and antique jewelry she is wearing during her portrait. Ingres was also able to demonstrate her high position in society by painting the details of the fabric of the dress she is wearing. Ingres also painted a expensive looking drape on the chair.

Mucha was an artist who painted wonderful women and used them to promote companies. One this Mucha is remembered is by his cigarette ads. Mucha always added a black line around the muse. Mucha would add a lot of detail to the muses face, hands would be to a normal complex. He would add beautiful details to the background and used mostly warm colors. Title: F. Champenois By: Alfons Muchaa Date: 1897 Medium: lithograph Dimension: 72.7 × 55.2cm

One can see the details in her face. The way the artist blended in the muses face. Mucha would always add a very complex and beautiful background to his artworks. This is done with the look of a halo around the muse.

Ingres and Mucha inspired these three art pieces. The three artworks have a female muse just like Ingres ad Muchas. Both artists inspired me with their impressive details in their artworks, which made me add as much detail as I could to my artwork. For all of my art works my main focus is to add as much detail as I can as the two artist inspire me. Sometimes my details come perfectly as Ingres would and sometimes blurry as Muchas art work.

The rest of my pieces of art work haves been as detailed as possible because I like how complex Ingres and Mucha made there paintings.
